He’s done ridding for now as Lil Nas X says he needs to take a break from music!
At the height of his career, Lil Naz X says it’s time to hang up the saddle and pack up his cowboy boots because he needs a break!
On Friday, the “Old Town Road” singer took to twitter to share some shocking information with his fans including those who were expecting to see him at two upcoming performances.
“It’s been a wild last 7 months and I’m ready to take a little time off,” he said on Twitter. “Sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, I will not be there. I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”

He was literally killing the billboard charts taking the No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks breaking the record for the longest-running No. 1 single. He even won song of the year at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.
As of now, there is no word on when he is expected to make a return but were pretty sure he will hit the stage on Oct. 17 alongside Billy Ray Cyrus at the Colosseum, Caesar’s Windsor in Ontario, Canada.
In a recent Instagram post, Fiona Apple sent a message to Lil Nas X for sampling one of her songs without asking saying;
“Lil Nas X—you’re probably really great, but you used my song ‘Every Single Night,'” she said. “And, um, hey, where’s my money, you cute little guy? Where’s my money?”
We’re not sure if that recent encounter has anything to do with him stepping away from the booth at this time. Until then, keep riding until you cant no more or until Lil Nas X is ready to come back.
