Lizzo was called out for a recent tweet regarding a postmates delivery and has sinc issud an apology!
On Monday, Lizzo, who was awaiting her order from food delivery service Postmates became pretty upset when her food never showed up.
In a time of frustration, he took to Twitter in a since-deleted post to call out the service and the driver saying;
“Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food,” Lizzo wrote. “She lucky I don’t fight no more.”
This tweet was accompanied by a picture of her order along with a picture of the driver.
With her celebrity and following, the tweet managed to obtain 39,000 likes and hundreds of comments. But some of the comments were not in support of her actions.
As a matter of fact, many called out on her tweet saying things like;
“Publicly shaming someone in the service industry (esp. when you’re wealthy) is worse than stealing food.”
And “This. 99% of the time it’s human error, half of that is the fault of the customer too. Or app issues. Or map issues. Or car issues. There are so many points of failure that publicly accusing a woman of theft to millions of people, with a photo, is horrific.”
Following that moment of backlash, Lizzo took back to twitter to send out an apology saying;
I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door. 🥺

Postmates did share that they called Lizzo to talk about what happened and “quickly resolved the issue.”
As for the driver, it’s being reported that she did wait for outside for her allotted time and no one was responding so she left.
