Los Angeles Angels Pitcher Tyler Skaggs Dead At 27
Los Angeles Angels pitcher, Tyler Skaggs has sadly passed away. He was just 27-years-old.
According to reports, he passed away in Texas where the Angels are scheduled to play the Texas Rangers today.
Police in Southlake, Texas, said Skaggs was found after they responded to a report of an unconscious man in a hotel room. He was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, no foul play is suspected, but, the police do not have a clear idea of what may have caused the death.
“It is with great sorrow that we report Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier today in Texas,” the Los Angeles Angels said on Twitter. “Tyler has, and always will be, an important part of the Angels Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time.”
Monday’s Angels vs. Rangers game was postponed following the tragic loss.
