Maleah Davis’ Stepfather Arrested And Charged With Evidence Tampering
Darion Vence, the last person believed to have seen missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis, has been arrested and charged with tampering with evidence.
ABC News reports that the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitives Task Force revealed that Vence was taken into custody on Saturday and the charges Stars “tampering with evidence, namely a corpse.” However, it has not yet been confirmed if Maleah has died.
Police say that Maleah was reportedly seen alive on surveillance video in her apartment complex on April 30, where Vence can be seen taking her into the apartment. This was the last anyone saw of the little girl.
As we reported, a few days later, the same cameras spotted Vence leaving the apartment with his 1-year-old son and a laundry basket that contained a black trash bag inside.
An Amber Alert was issued for Maleah on Sunday after Vence claimed that she was taken by three men in a blue Chevy truck.
Police state that Vence was named as a person of interest after inconsistencies began to surface in his story.
