Man Arrested For Buying Plane Ticket To Say Goodbye To His Wife At Boarding Gate
A Man was arrested for the misuse of his boarding pass after he bought a plane ticket to send off his wife at the boarding gate.
Singapore must be strict on romance because the 27-year-old man was arrested by Singapore Police due to the fact that he had no plans on actually traveling.
According to the Sun, Singaporean law states that anyone who has a boarding pass and tries to access the boarding area beyond security must intend to travel.
Following the arrest, Singapore Police posted a statement on Facebook, “The Police would like to remind all passengers that the transit areas of Changi Airport are gazetted as Protected Places.
“Passengers who enter the transit areas with a boarding pass should only be there for the purpose of travelling to their next destinations.
“Those who misuse their boarding pass to enter into the transit areas, with no intention to proceed to their next destinations, are liable for an offence under the Infrastructure Protection Act.”
The unidentified man could be fined $20,000 and jailed for up to two years!
