A waiter was shot to death at a local pizzeria in France after he took too long to give a customer his sandwich.
According to the New York Post, the deadly incident occurred Friday night after the male customer became upset because his sandwich was taking too long to make at a small restaurant in Noisy-le-Grand. In a fit of rage, the customer pulled out his handgun and fired it at the waiter,28, then fled the scene shortly after.
Authorities reported that the waiter was shot in the shoulder and died on the scene despite life-saving efforts from emergency responders.
The waiter’s identity was not released to the public and an investigation is pending. Police also reported the shooter is still on the run. Fox News said in a report that the restaurant recently opened three months ago despite the neighborhood being known for its high crime rate.
A resident said the small restaurant never had any issues prior to the shooting.
“It is sad. It’s a quiet restaurant, without any problems.”
