A young man selling T-shirts at a nail salon was fatally shot and killed by police after he allegedly threw a chair at one of the officers.

According to multiple reports, the police were called to the salon about a disturbance at 5:45 p.m. at the corner of Mother Gaston Boulevard and Sutter Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

The police arrived and wrote a summons for another man for public urination when the T-shirt vendor threw a chair and hit the cop in the head. His partner then fired a shot and hit the man in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two officers were taken to hospital to be treated.

Assemblywoman Latrice Walker stopped by the salon prior and said the man tried to sell shirts to her too.

“I interacted with him moments before this took place. He asked me if I would be interested in buying the T-shirts he was selling,” Walker told The NY Post.

“He was always a peaceful young man,” Walker added. “He was promoting a business he was trying to kick off.”

Bystander Chris Levine, said the man that was shot “was screaming for help” inside the salon.

“I saw the cop chase the male inside the nail salon. When he ran inside the male threw the chair,” Levine said. “It happened so fast.”

The identity of the man has not been revealed yet.
