A man was shot and killed by police after refusing to stop for running a red light.

Police in Minneapolis shot and killed Brian J. Quinones following a car chase after he apparently came out of his car holding a knife and allegedly refusing to put it down.

The incident ensued late Saturday night in Edina after Quinones ran a red light and wouldn’t pull over. He then live-streamed the entire chase and posted it on Facebook.

Per USA Today, once police forcefully pulled the car over, Quinones got out holding a large knife in his left hand. In the dispatch audio, officers can be heard saying, “Drop the knife. Drop the knife.” They then fire shots, “Shots fired. Shots fired.”

In Quinones’ Facebook video he says, “So sorry.” He seems calm in the video leading up to the shooting.

“The Edina and Richfield Police Departments express our thoughts and prayers to all those involved in this tragic incident,” the departments said in a joint statement.

The shooting is currently being investigated.
