An unidentified gunman livestreamed himself targeting and shooting a synagogue and kebab store in Halle, Germany.
According to the New York Post, the man introduced himself during his live broadcast on the video game platform Twitch and displayed the various weapons and explosives inside of his vehicle.
“Hi, my name is Anon and I think the Holocaust never happened”
Prior to the shooting, the man begins a rant about feminism and immigration stating the “root of all these problems is the Jew” and asks his viewers, “Would you like to be friends?” He exits out of the vehicle and proceeds to murder a woman standing outside a synagogue then opens fire inside in a kebab shop.
Authorities reported two people were killed in the shooting during the holiest day of Judaism, Yom Kippur. A spokeswoman for the Amazon-owned Twitch said in a statement that the site has a zero-tolerance policy against hateful content.
“We worked with urgency to remove this content and will permanently suspend any accounts found to be posting or reposting content of this abhorrent act,”
Halle police say the shooter in the video is a 27-year-old man from the state of Saxony-Anhalt and one suspect was arrested. The other two male suspects fled the scene in a hijacked vehicle after injuring two victims.
