An Amazon customer says he ordered an Apple Watch but received a plunger when his package was delivered.
According to Fox News, John Browne of London browsed through the website on Black Friday and took advantage of the sales. He ordered the latest Apple Watch model for $387 and said it was a pre-Christmas gift for himself.
“It was a pre-Christmas treat for myself and I have wanted one for a long time. I waited for Black Friday specifically and it was a calculated move on my part. It got delivered to me at work and I went down to collect it at reception.”

Unfortunately, when he opened the package, his excitement turned into disappointment because the package revealed a $5 toilet plunger. When he contacted Amazon, they told him that the watch model he ordered was already sold out.
“I opened it in front of the reception staff and they started howling with laughter. They were all in absolute hysterics. But I was absolutely fuming and I had to hold it back in front of them. I was very annoyed and was dreading the impending faff to get it sorted with Amazon.”
Although he tried to order another watch despite it being sold out, Browne says he won’t try again.
“It’s just not good enough and all of the planning I put into getting the watch has gone out of the window.”
