Man Stabs 17-Year-Old To Death For Playing Rap Music At Gas Station
Police report that a man stabbed and killed a 17-year-old at a Circle K gas station because he felt threatened by his rap music.
The department’s Facebook page reports that 27-year-old Michael Adams walked into the store and stabbed the young man in his neck. He was transported to the hospital where he passed away.
FOX 10 reports that Adams claims that the victim was listening to rap music and “that type of music makes him feel unsafe because he’s been attacked in the past by people who listen to rap music.”
He believes he helped by preventing future attack’s, even though he and the victim had no previous interaction.
His lawyer claims that Adams suffers from mental illness and he has no medication. He believes his client should be placed in a hospital.
“They released him to the streets with no medication, no meds, with no way to care for himself,” said his lawyer, Jacie Cotterell. “This is a failing of the Department of Corrections. This is easily foreseeable and that is an issue.”
As of now, Adams is back in jail with a bond set at $1 million.
