Fresno police are on the hunt for a crafty criminal who nabbed a chainsaw by stuffing it in his pants. Ouch!

The entire incident was caught on camera at the R-G Equipment hardware store in Fresno, California. The man can be seen shoving the tool down his pants and covering part of it with his jacket. Police are still looking for the man.

Jeff Bennett, of RG Equipment near East Clinton and North Fowler avenues, said the theft was caught on his security camera about 2:45 p.m on Wednesday.

The Fresno Bee reports that Bennett described the man as escaping in a pickup that looked like a late-1990s model Ram, silver, with an extended cab. Bennett added that he believes the thief had a potential accomplice who had previously come to the store in order to scope it out.

“You get a feel for these people,” he said.

As of today, police have no lead in who the thief could be, but, they urge the public to come forward as they don’t know what he could steal next!
