Man Who Got Caught Faking ‘Slip & Fall’ Sentenced To Probation

A New Jersey man who was caught faking a slip and fall at a local store in January was sentenced to probation, community service and ordered to pay a fine for his fraudulent actions.

Alexander Goldinsky, 58, was handed down the sentenced on Nov. 4. He received two years of probation and 14 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay $563.48 to the insurance company for wasting their time.

WABC-T reports that he pleaded guilty on August 16. to falsely reporting an accident to try and get insurance money.

Goldinsky was contracted to work at a Woodbridge company, where he claimed he was injured after he slipped and fell. However, surveillance video showed him intentionally throwing ice cubes on the floor of the cafeteria where he worked. In the video he can be seen ‘falling’ where he threw the ice and laying on the ground, waiting to be discovered.

He was convicted of third-degree insurance fraud after taking a plea deal.
