Manny Pacquiao Comes Out On Top Against Adrien Broner
The first huge boxing event of 2019 was upon us tonight where Manny Pacquiao came out on top against Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight went on for twelve rounds, despite Manny putting in a hard fight, Adrien stood his ground. It was the ninth round that really hit Broner as a straight left hand by Pacquiao sent him flying across the ring. We couldn’t believe that Broner was still standing!
Prior to the event, both champs voiced their final words on why they were fighting,
“This is a hell of an opportunity,” said Broner, a former four-division titleholder. “I’m not just doing this for me, I’m doing this for the hood. After I win tomorrow night, I’ll be a legend overnight. I just have to do me. You’ll see tomorrow night.”
Manny also gave his thoughts, “It’s my legacy to give a good fight and to accomplish all this and especially at the age of 40. I have to prove something that Manny Pacquiao is still there.”
However, after the fight Adrien Broner has a different stance and left saying that he “still beat that boy,” despite the results.
It’s safe to say both fighters put up a good fight and Manny left with a message for the champ Floyd Mayweather after he was asked if he would fight him, and you know Floyd was in the audience!
“Tell him to get back in the ring, and I will fight.”
Let’s see if the champ agrees!
