Looks like there is still some rough waters for singer Mary J. Blige as she reportedly owes more than $1 million in taxes.
Mary J. Blige is being hit hard with reports that she owes the IRS some money! In a tax lien filed last month and obtained by BOSSIP, Blige owes the Internal Revenue Service a whopping $1,198,161.
This number comes from a failure to pay in 2016 and 2017 which resulted in major back taxes.
This is not the first time that Blige has been involved in financial and legal troubles. Since her divorce to her former manager, Kendu Isaacs, the “I’m Going Down” singer has hit some major walls.
In 2018, the bank sued both Blige and Issacs and foreclosed two homes that they failed to make payments on. Luckily, Blige was able to escape the foreclosure on her New Jersy mansion. However, she is still accused of skipping out on about $60,000 in back rent on her Southern California estate.
As of now, Blige nor Isaacs have commented on the situation. We can only hope that things get solved so that Blige has a break from all this legal news.
