Mentally Ill 9-Year-Old Charged For Killing Adoptive Mother
Family members say 51-year-old Pauline Randol, of Fawn River Township, MI, feared she was “raising the next serial killer,” before her 9-year-old adoptive son killed her.
Subsequent to shooting his adoptive mother on Monday (May 6), authorities arrested and charged the second-grader with murder the very next day.
Furthermore, the daughter of the deceased, Harley Martin, says her mother adopted her younger brother three years ago; and shares that he has a history with mental illness due to his biological mother using drugs during her pregnancy. She adds, “[He] just recently started snapping. [My mother] had told her doctor one time she was so scared she was raising the next serial killer.”
In addition, a second daughter, Reagan Martin, 23, says, “[He is] a sweet, caring young man who needed help further than the help my mother gave him, and she tried. She eventually got an appointment … but that was supposed to be for Tuesday, and it was too late. My mother’s death lays in the hands of people failing to educate in mental issues and failing to listen when helped is being begged for.”
