Michal Jackson collectors get your money ready as his famous moonwalk socks are going up for auction!
When celebrity auctions come around, it’s a big deal, and in the case of Michal Jackson, its an even bigger deal.
Back in 2983, Jackson busted out his iconic moonwalk during his performance of “Billie Jean” for the TV special, “Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever” wearing a special pair of crystal socks. Those socks are now on an auction website with the price ranging from $1 million up to $2 million.
Gottahaverockandroll.com is the website that has them listed as part of the Frank DiLeo collection. If you’re a Jackson fan, you would know that DeLeo was the exec that signed Jackson to Epic Records managing him from 1984 to 1989.
Along with the socks, the buyer who bids the highest receives a handwritten and signed letter to Frank DiLeo, a letter of provenance from Frank’s wife, Linda DiLeo and a copy of the original email from Jimmy Darren confirming the authenticity of the socks.
The auctions will take place from November 13-22. Take a look at his performance below and let us know what you think!
