The Fighter Sues California DOT After Career-Ending Accident
Subsequent to a gruesome car accident last year, in which he nearly lost his leg, pro MMA fighter, Chris Bonilla, is now suing the California Department of Transportation (DOT).
Additionally, Bonilla claims the DOT is responsible for his tragic injuries after crashing into an unmarked cement barrier on the side of a freeway in 2018.
In addition, the 32-year-old fighter explains, while driving on the 10 freeway in West Covina around 6AM, he needed to pull over, then accidentally crashed into a K-rail that DOT hadn’t properly marked. The car was split down the side, severing his leg, which doctors were able to reattach.
However, he adds that his leg may eventually have to be amputated.
