A Tennesee mother and daughter were arrested after allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars worth of crab legs last week.
WREG reports Felicia Hollins and Gabrielle Hodges entered the SuperLo Foods grocery store in East Memphis and stuffed crab legs inside of their purses. A store manager attempted to stop the mother-daughter duo but she was “struck twice in the face” as reported by authorties. Another manager said in a statement that they were not surprised by the theft because crab legs and oxtails are targeted items in the store.
Police later arrested Hollins and Hodges and confessed to stealing the crab legs, which were valued at $200.
Customer Clord Thorton said to WREG that people should work for the items they want instead of stealing from stores.
“I’m 78, I have a lawn service business, and I work 7 days a week,”
