Multiple People Injured Following Shooting At Toddler’s Birthday Party
Multiple people have been injured after a shooting broke out at a 2-year-old’s birthday party in Maryland.
The shooting happened by the Camp Springs apartment complex where the birthday party was being held.
According to WRC-TV, three people were seriously injured in the shooting with four other people sustaining “less serious injuries.”
Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said the shooting victims ranged in age from 18 to 20 years old.
“This has got to end. You’ve got a 2-year-old’s birthday party and you have shots ringing out,” Stawinski told reporters who were at the scene on Saturday.
Stawinksi revealed that around a dozen people were gathered for the party when one person came up and a fight broke out before the shooting. It is not clear what caused the fight.
Police say the suspect is still at large. However, they believe that it was the act of a single shooter.
