Another rapper has lost his life due to gun violence. According to multiple reports, New Orleans artist Young Greatness, born Theodore Jones, was shot and killed outside a Waffle House early Monday morning (Oct. 29) in his New Orleans hometown.
NOPD said the shooting happened at around 1:35 a.m. Responding officers arrived at the scene and found the victim with a single gunshot wound. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. He was just 34-years-old.
Jones was born in New Orleans but relocated to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. The rapper signed with Cash Money records in 2017 after releasing the single “Moolah” back in 2016 under the Quality Control label.
As of right now, police are on the scene gathering evidence and information to identify a suspect and motive for the crime.
The shooting comes after the death of 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion who was also shot in his hometown. All suspects behind the crime were arrested and have been charged.
