NFL Star DeSean Jackson Auctioning Off His Custom Cleats Honoring Nipsey Hussle
Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson made a very sweet move. Not only did he get his cleats custom made to pay tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle, but following his win against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, he has decided to auction them off and give the proceeds to Hussle’s family.
After the Eagles 32-27 comeback victory, DeSean shared a post on Instagram saying,
“Every game this year Im auctioning my @nipseyhussle cleats I wear in Pre game. Proceeds will go to his kids Kross & Emani !! Link will be up this week. Rest in paradise bro !!”
As we previously reported, Nipsey tragically died earlier this year after he was gunned down outside his store on Crenshaw. He touched many people around the world including DeSean with his music and community work. Fans have promised to let his legacy live on and alps make sure his marathon continues.
Next week, Jackson will rock another Hussle-themed pair during his “Sunday Night Football” during his game against the Atlanta Falcons.
