NFL Suspends Kareem Hunt For 8 Games
The NFL has decided to suspend Kareem Hunt for 8 games without pay for violating the leagues code of conduct.
The suspension comes after the Star was involved in two violent altercations, including one that was caught on surveillance video.
As we reported, TMZ Sports obtained video of the Kansas City Chiefs star running back shoving and kicking a woman while shouting at her inside a Cleveland hotel back in February 2018.
Hunt was seen arguing with a 19-year-old woman outside of his room at The Metropolitan at the 9 at 3:22 AM. Hunt is seen turning a corner and confronting the woman before shoving her really hard. The woman then strikes him back in the face, which appears to have set him off even more.
The NFL released a statement saying they were “reviewing available law enforcement records, video and electronic communications, interviews with numerous witnesses, and multiple interviews with Hunt.”
The league adds, “Hunt has advised the league office that he accepts responsibility for his conduct and the discipline that has been imposed.”
“He has committed to take advantage of available resources to help him grow personally and as a member of the Cleveland community, and to live up to his obligations as an NFL player.”
“The eight-game suspension will take effect as of the final roster reduction on August 31. Hunt will be eligible to play in the Browns’ ninth regular season game.”
