Nick Cannon Set To Join Power 106 As Morning Show Host

Major changes are happening in the world of hip hop radio in Burbank as new additions are coming to Power 106!


Breaking news in the radio industry as Big Boy from Real 92.3 in Burbank shares that Nick Cannon is said to be taking over the morning show at Power 106.

Big Boy took to his morning show, “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” to share the news commenting that he and Nick are still good friends despite him taking the role at his former radio home!

If you are familiar with the two radio shows, you will know that there is history between all three parties!

Over the years, Power 106 has experienced major changes to their morning radio show. Many who grew up listening to the hip hop radio station were familiar with hearing Big Boy from the hours of 6am-10am.

For 18 years, he became a staple in morning radio until 2015 when he made a transition to iHeart radio to take over the Real 92.3 show.

His replacement on the morning show over at Power, J. Cruz. From 2015 to 2019, Cruz was the face of Power’s morning show, titled The Cruz show.

However, flash forward to early April, and Big Boy alongside Cruz make the announcement that they were back under the same roof as Cruz takes the afternoon slot over at Real 92.3.

While neither Power 106 or Nick Cannon have confirmed the news, there is a good chance that it is true as radio news travels fast.
