A day after she released her fourth studio album, Queen, the 35-year-old MC dropped off the Nas-assisted track called “Sorry.” Funk Flex premiered the record during his Hot 97 show Saturday night, after posting a series of teasers on social media.

Shortly after Nicki announced Queen’s release, Nas replied with an Instagram comment that simply read “QGTM” with the fist emoji. Nicki also dropped some hints in her response.

“So mad they can’t hear our song babe,” she wrote.

So, it was confirmed, the Nicki x Nas collaborative record actually existed. However, at the time, many fans wondered if it would ever get the chance to hear the track.

Prior to “Sorry’s” debut, there was a suspicion that Nicki’s record with Nas was the same song she hinted at back in July. The record that was said to feature one of the greatest rappers of all time.

Nicki took to Instagram to tell her fans she had to delay her album Queen due to one of the tracks that featured an unauthorized Tracy Chapman sample.

“So there’s a record on #Queen that features 1 of the greatest rappers of all time,” she tweeted. “Had no clue it sampled the legend #TracyChapman – do I keep my date & lose the record? Or do I lose the record & keep my date? Do we push #Queen back 1week? Ugh! I’m torn.”

It turns out the artist confirmed Nicki’s track, and that the song is a flip of Shelly Thunder’s “Sorry” track, which is a reggae cover of Chapman’s 1998 record “Baby Can I Hold You.”
