Nipsey Hussle’s Brother Battling Crips for ‘The Marathon Continues’ Trademark
Nipsey Hussle’s brother Sam Asghedom and the Crips have both filed trademark applications to keep ‘The Marathon Continues’ trademark going.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Samiel Asghedom filed a trademark application on May 28 to secure his brother’s slogan for numerous avenues including; entertainment services, music and “charitable activities and the doing of good deeds for others and the promotion of ethical and character values.”
Sam has already filed to become in charge of his brother’s estate and manage upcoming deals. However, the Crips have also filed to trademark “The Marathon Continues” on May 16.
The Crips have similar interests as they also want to use the slogan for charity and methods of “gang intervention.”
It is not clear if the two parties are aware of the duplicate applications for the same slogan, but, once the U.S. Patent & Trademark officials notice it, they will decide who will be the rightful owner of “The Marathon Continues.”
