Nipsey Hussle’s Suspected Shooter Eric Holder Charged With Murder
Eric Holder, the man suspected of killing rapper Nipsey Hussle has officially been charged with murder after showing up to court for the first time since his arrest.
TMZ reports that the L.A. County D.A. charged him with 1 count of murder, 2 counts of attempted murder and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a felon. Holder faces the possibility of life in prison if he is convicted.
Holder is currently in solitary confinement as he is believed to be at high risk of danger due to the nature of the crime. He was apprehended outside of a mental health facility in Bellflower, California.
Holder, 29, reportedly shot Hussle in the head and torso outside the Grammy-nominated rapper’s The Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles. The getaway driver in the crime has been set free after turning herself into police.
Community leader Najee Ali is urging that police also charge her with the crime after she claimed she had no idea what Holder had done.
“We believe she knew that Nipsey and (Holder) had a serious argument and a fight previously. We don’t believe she was naïve. And number two, she didn’t turn herself in until two days later – until the community identified her,” Ali, founder of Project Islamic HOPE, said to the Daily News.
“We want everyone who had a role in Nipsey’s murder to be brought to justice,” he said.
