Ozuna Apologizes For Sex Scandal: ‘As a Man, I Am Here Facing the Issue’

Latin singer Ozuna made a bold move over the weekend and decided to address his latest sex scandal in front of a huge crowd during his concert in Las Vegas.

In a video shared to social media, Ozuna can be heard apologizing for all that has happened and says he’s facing the issue as a man.

“I apologize to each of you for mistakes I made in the past,” he said. “I apologize to the children and those who were offended. As a man, I am here facing the issue. Your past does not define your future, you decide your future starting today.”

Ozuna’s apology comes after he confirmed last week that he was the victim of an extortion attempt stemming from a resurfaced video showing him engaging in sexual acts as a minor. The extortion was connected to the death of openly gay Puerto Rican rapper Kevin Fret who was shot and killed in San Juan earlier this month. Ozuna’s attorney Antonio Sagardia confirmed to a Puerto Rican newspaper that the extortion was allegedly being carried out by Kevin Fret, but has “nothing to with with [Fret’s] death.”

“The only way Ozuna is affected is that [Fret] was extorting him and police have the information.” The singer allegedly paid Fret about $50,000 to keep the video under wraps, according to Univision.

Fan cheered for Ozuna after he adressed the issue and encouraged him to stay strong.
