A Texas couple was arrested after their three-year-old daughter’s remains were found inside of a bin containing acid.
KGNS.TV reports Gerardo Zavala-Loredo, 32, and Monica Dominguez,37, were arrested Thursday after their daughter, Rebecka Zavala, was found inside of a five-gallon bin containing acid. Police say the couple left their two children unsupervised in the bathtub when the three-year-old girl drowned around 1:30 p.m. Dominguez told police that she asked her husband to get rid of their daughter’s body.
While searching the home, police discovered the five-gallon bin inside of the couple’s bedroom closet. Laredo Chief Of Police Claudio Treviño said during a press conference that investigators found the toddler’s body in pieces:
‘The investigative team recovered what appears to be body parts, decomposing body parts, in this bucket that was located in the bedroom closet,’

Police say the couple will face more charges if the forensic results reveal if Rebecka’s death is ruled a homicide:
‘We are now going to rely on the forensic evidence, the medical evidence, and evidence from an anthropologist to examine the remains of the body to determine if there are any injuries consistent with a possible homicide,
