Parents Charged With Child Abuse After Waitress Posts Disturbing Photo

A Tennessee couple was arrested and charged with child abuse after an Olive Garden waitress noticed that their daughter had bruises on his face.

According to Yahoo! News, 21-year-old Jordan Cooper was working a regular shift at Olive Garden when she noticed a couple and their two children. She posted on her Facebook page that she was disturbed by what she saw at the restaurant.

“Tonight working at Paducah Olive Garden, I had a couple that came in with a child that was severely beaten in the face. Her face was black and blue all over. The guy in this picture was force feeding her food down her throat and grabbing her by her shirt and getting in her face.

Cooper added that the father would take his 20-month-old daughter to the bathroom whenever she cried. She discreetly took a photo of the couple and uploaded it on Facebook in hopes that someone would identify the couple.

After noticing that the man was taking his daughter to the bathroom without a diaper bag for the third time, Cooper stopped him and asked him “What are you doing?” The man quickly asked for the check and the couple ran off to their car with the children. Cooper said she waited outside for them to enter their car so she could write down the license plate number.

Since she uploaded the images of the couple and the story behind it, one of her childhood friends, Aaron Caldwell, informed Cooper that they worked as a 911 operator.

“I got everything so I could run him and find who he was.I found that and ended up contacting Paris Police Department, Tennessee.”

The couple identified in the video were Mark Lee Pierce,33, and Jessica Woodwork, 36, and Paris police performed a routine welfare check of their home. Officers reported that they saw bruising and other signs of abuse. The couple is currently being held on a $200,000 bond.
