Blood banks in El Paso have been ‘overwhelmed’ by donations after the police department put out an urgent call for blood donors as hospitals drained their supply to treat the victims. Now a local funeral home is offering help to those who have been affected by this tragic incident.

Salvador Perches, owner of Perches Funeral Homes, announced on Facebook that they are offering free funeral services for victims who died in Saturday’s shootings.

“This is one of the most tragic events in El Paso’s history. My heart and prayers go out to the families who lost a loved one, as well as to the survivors and to our entire community who is mourning at this time,” Perches said. “We must unite as a community to help those directly impacted by this tragedy.”

Perches Funeral Homes said family members can call 915-532-2101 to arrange services at their locations in El Paso or Juarez, Mexico.

ABC News reports that San Jose Funeral Homes, Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, and Sunset Funeral Homes are also offering free funeral services for victims of the shooting.

As of right now, it unclear why the suspect carried out this attack. However, he is currently in police custody where he’ll be investigated and more details are expected to be shared later.
