Piers Morgan is not here for Dutchess Meghan Markle asking for privacy and tells her to return home!
Dutchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is receiving backlash from Piers Morgan after she asked for more privacy at an event.
Last week, The Dutchess attended a Wimbledon match to support her good friend Serena Williams. While there, Meghan politely asked that her picture not to be taken.
“I felt this tap on my shoulder and was asked not to take pictures of the duchess — but I had no idea she was there until then,” media consultant Sally Jones said.
Word got over to Piers Morgan who weighed in on “Good Morning Britan” where he said,`
“If you want to be private, go back to America and live privately.”
Morgan has not been the biggest Meghan fan as he is seen constantly criticizing her every move. However, many people came to Meghan’s defense calling out Piers on Twitter with comments like,
“Last I check Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex have a right to have privacy, same goes for their son. The way you and media treated the late Diana we all can understand why they want to keep things private.”
Meghan and Prince Harry have been very private with the birth of their first son in May. On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess held a private baptism for Archie and are not planning on disclosing who his godparents are.
A royal source did release a statement saying;
“It is not unusual for people accompanying Members of the Royal Family at private, or public, engagements to ask members of the public not to take photographs. This is to enable Members of the Royal Family to properly engage with people and events.”
Take a look at what Piers said below and let us know what you think!
