Kim Kardashian is the queen of all thing posing, so who wouldn’t copy her recent body fragrance ad?
A plus-size model recently took to her Instagram to recreate Kim Kardashian’s famous Body Fragrance pose which debuted a new perfume.
Carmen Smith caught wind of the picture last week and headed to her room to take the same picture. Sharing it on her social media, she obtained over 4,400 likes and nearly 170 comments.
Her heartfelt caption read,
“One of these bodies, a large part of our society will deem as “perfect”. My body is empowered by the opportunity to share a different reality. PERFECT: “having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.” Stop striving to be perfect because guess what, you are there! What a beautiful definition. Today, at this very moment my body is as good as it possibly can be. I can’t change it today, and tomorrow it may be different, it will still be perfect. There is nobody better than the next, there is no one body that is “perfect”, there is your body, unique, worthy, desirable and perfect. All bodies are good bodies”
Smith who is a body activist from Oregon says she does not have the body that everyone wants due to stretch marks and a stomach she says is soft and fluffy but it’s perfect to her.
“I was slightly bothered by the way her display could make women feel,” Smith says. “I felt empowered to share a different reality — a reality that many women can relate to.”
Unlike what some may think, Smith is often accused of “glorifying obesity”. That couldn’t be more wrong as she takes care of herself and works out five days a week.
“I’m frustrated by the idea that because I am overweight, I have to explain my body to people who claim I am unhealthy,”
Smith is looking forward to the near future in hopes that all bodies will be accepted equally.
