Last week, cops in Manchester, England, ceded to a request to lock up Josie Birds so that the 93-year-old grandmother could check being arrested off her bucket list. As strange as it sounds, it was a special moment for Birds. Her daughter even took to Twitter to thank cops for making her interesting wish come true.

“A big thank you to @gmpolice for ‘arresting’ my Gran Josie today,” Birds’ granddaughter, Pam Smith, said on Twitter. “She is 93 years old and her health is failing, and she wanted to be arrested for something before it’s too late. She has a heart of gold and thoroughly enjoyed it today. Thank you for granting her wishes.” Manchester police department’s official Twitter account responded to the tweet and said, “I’m glad our officers could help out, looks like she got the full experience. Give our best to Josie and I’ll try and pass your message back to the officers who kindly helped out.”

Although this task was very small, the Greater Manchester police said in a statement that after getting the request and accepting it, they assured residents that it will not affect their regular duties.

“Officers from across the area were continuing with their duties to ensure this short visit had no impact whatsoever on the wider area.”
