Prosecutors Ask Judge To Give Tekashi 6ix9ine A Lighter Sentence

Federal prosecutors are officially asking the judge in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s case to give him a lighter sentence due to all his “cooperation.”

The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York not only has a bunch of reasons why the rapper should get a reduced sentence But the claim his assistance was “incredibly significant and extremely useful” in prosecuting and convicting 2 members of the Nine Trey Bloods, according to legal docs, obtained by TMZ.

In addition to that, the feds also acknowledge that Tekashi put his life in danger while sharing his testimony in open court. In the docs, prosecutors say, “There’s no question that the defendant’s life will never be the same because of his cooperation in this case.” They add that his family will need “extra safety precautions” at all times to avoid revenge attacks.

As we previously reported, the rapper was looking at about 47 years behind bars had he not accepted his plea deal. Reports say he will be out early next year, but the sentence will ultimately be up to the judge to determine when exactly he will be free.
