According to the latest reports, activist Quanell X has confirmed he is no longer representing Brittany Bowens, the mother of missing Four-year-old Maleah Davis.
KPRC quoted Quanell saying Bowens hasn’t been “truthful” and believes there are “inconsistencies” with her story. It is not clear what Quanell knows but he did say, “I don’t think she knows where Maleah is, but I do believe she knows what happened.” Fox 26 says he will go to the district attorney about his concerns. Meanwhile, Bowens accused Quanell X of “misrepresenting the family’s past,” according to the local FOX affiliate.
As we previously reported, the activist has been speaking for Bowens in the wake of Davis’ disappearance on May 3. Not only has he appeared with her in many interviews he was also with her in a court hearing on May 13 for her former live-in boyfriend, Derion Vence, who has been charged with tampering with a corpse in connection with the case.
As of right now, Bownes has not been charged with a crime in the child’s disappearance and has maintained her innocence, despite many people believing she could’ve prevented this from happening after her her daughter’s history of physical abuse was shared to the public.
The girl still hasn’t been found, but independent groups are still actively searching.
