R. Kelly is not doing so well in prison and the singer allegedly fears for his life.
According to TMZ, Kelly’s lawyer, Nicole Blank Becker says that while she visited the disgraced singer in prison, he told her that he preferred to be in solitary confinement because he is scared that other inmates who know that he’s been accused of sex crimes involving underage girls will try to attack him.
As we reported, a judge denied R. kelly’s bail citing that there is enough evidence in his sex abuse case, including multiple sex tapes to suggest he is guilty.
However, his lawyer believes that solitary could be bad for the singer because there is nobody to help him. Kelly can’t read or write so he won’t be able to complete the simplest tasks.
In addition, while he is in jail for the foreseeable future, Kelly will have just 15 minutes a month to speak with his family and friends if he remains in solitary. There is also no T.V or internet for him to use.
