R. Kelly is ready to go after everyone who was involved in the “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary on Lifetime.
It’s been about a week since the world was exposed to a more detailed description of the 25 years of sexual allegations R. Kelly has been involved in.
However, according to TMZ, a person close to the R&B singer says that Kelly is not going down without a fight.
The source says that although he did not watch the film, he has been “disgusted” by the allegations made by the alleged survivors.
This unnamed source also says that Kelly believes the people in the film have a personal “vendetta” against him.
Following the release of the documentary, Kelly was open about suing Lifetime, however, that has now changed as he wants to sue anyone who was involved. This not only includes those who have had a physical relationship with the singer, but, also celebrities like John Legend, Charlamagne Tha God, and Wendy Williams.
The singer’s team released a statement saying;
“We understand criticizing a famous artist is a good way to draw attention to (Time’s Up) goals — and in this case, it is unjust and off-target. Since America was born, Black men and women have been lynched for having sex or for being accused of it. We will vigorously resist this attempted public lynching of a Black man who has made extraordinary contributions to our culture.”
