R. Kelly Concert Canceled In Germany Following Arrest
Despite his discrepancies in the U.S, R. Kelly still had supporters in Europe, however, following his arrest he seems to have lost them too.
The Blast reports that Germany is canceling a scheduled concert with R. Kelly after the recent sexual abuse charges were filed against the disgraced singer.
The Ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm, Germany released a statement on the matter early Tuesday morning,
“Over the past 3 days, new charges have been published in the media regarding allegations raised against R. Kelly and verified by us in the meantime.”
“In view of these new and objective facts, we have decided to release ourselves from the contract concluded for the 12.04.2019 for good cause.”
The arena also announced that refunds will be given to those who purchased tickets. Meanwhile, R. Kelly has not yet responded to news of the cancelation.
As we reported, Kelly finally posted his $100,000 bond yesterday and was released from custody in Chicago. His next scheduled court appearance is March 22nd.
