R. Kelly To Face Racketeering, Sex Crime Charges In New York In August
While he’s currently in Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center, held without bond, R. Kelly will fly to New York next month, where he’ll face racketeering and sex crime charges related to multiple misconduct allegations.
For those unknowing, the singer is currently facing two separate federal cases related to said allegations; one in his home-state of Illinois and the other, states away in New York.
Additionally, on August 2, the R&B crooner will head to NY’s Eastern District to face a five-count federal case involving charges of sexual exploitation of a child, forced labor, kidnapping and transporting women and girls to engage in illegal sexual acts.
Furthermore, following his NYC court hearing, Kelly’s set to return to Chicago or a status hearing on September 4; this regarding a separate indictment at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse.
