Hollywood Unlocked UNCENSORED: Lil Kim Talks Biggie, Befriending Faith Evans & New Album
By Alyssa BrookNovember 14, 2019
The fight continues: R. Kelly arrived in court this morning in Chicago to face the eleven sexual abuse charges he’s been recently hit with: four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual assault by force, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against a victim between the ages of 13 to 16.
All of these alleged offenses, which are all felonies, are said to have occurred in 2010. Now, according to Steve Greenberg — the singer’s attorney, Kelly “was NOT charged with a new case. He was recharged in an existing case, same alleged victim and time (a decade ago). It changes nothing.”
According to the Associated Press, the 52-year-old pleaded not guilty to all the felonies during his court the hearing in Chicago. Just like his other cases, Kelly has denied any wrongdoing. However, if Kelly is found guilty, he can be looking at a long time in the slammer since each Class X charge carries a minimum of six years and maximum of 30 years.
Back in February, Kelly also pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving three girls and one woman. Despite the new charges, Kelly’s legal team says they are confident the singer will be proven innocent.
