R. Kelly Says He Wants Out Of Solitary Confinement While Awaiting Trial
R. Kelly doesn’t want to be alone anymore!
Lawyers for the disgraced star filed an emergency motion on Thursday saying that he should be released from solitary confinement.
They argue that he is not getting any sunlight, or “meaningful interaction with other humans.”
According to Page Six, his lawyers believe he’s being targeted because of his celebrity status and charges.
As we reported, Kelly is at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Chicago for Child pornography and sex abuse crimes.
Kelly is apparently being held on “the most restrictive floor,” according to his attorneys.
“In essence, even though he has not violated a single BOP rule, Mr. Kelly is being unconstitutionally punished and segregated from the rest of the prison population,” they wrote in the motion.
Kelly is allegedly being denied outdoor activities and has limited access to emails and recreational activities.
