R. Kelly Tells Ex-Wife Drea Kelly She Should Work At McDonald’s To Provide For Their Kids

Apparently, R. Kelly and his team caught wind of Drea Kelly’s recent interview with “TMZ Live” where she suggests that he should work at fast food joint to meet his legal obligations when it comes to child support. His daughter Buku Abi, 21 also appeared in the interview to say that she has her own career and doesn’t need R. Kelly’s money, but it’s still his responsibility to pay until she’s 23.

The singer’s crisis manager, Darrell Johnson, spoke with TMZ to weigh in on Drea’s interview and let’s just say neither he or his client think it’s fine. In fact, the singer says Drea has been using child support to fund her own lifestyle, and actually believes she should flip some burgers at McDonald’s or Burger King to support their kids since she’s also equally responsible.

Kelly’s lawyer, Steven Greenberg, adds that his client is just fed up with Drea bashing him and “she needs to get a life.” As messy as that sounds, Kelly is still reportedly on the hook for about $21k a month in child support, and is currently behind $32k, TMZ reports.
