The shocking stories told by the victims/ survivors infuriated many people including a bunch of celebrities, some of who he actually considered being his friends. On top of the big wave of criticism, it also started a new urge to completely cancel the R&B singer.

His attorney has spoken out on the documentary and believes this is all a bunch of BS.

“It’s a bunch of disgruntled people looking for their 15 minutes of TMZ fame,” attorney Steve Greenberg told CBS News’, Jericka Duncan. He went on to say, “I believe that all of these women did exactly what they wanted to do. Because now there’s some hashtag, that’s not going to change,” Greenberg said, referring to the #MeToo movement.

He continued,

“I haven’t heard from a prosecutor’s office. I have never heard from an attorney for a victim or an alleged victim. I haven’t heard from anyone because there are no facts to back up these claims,” Greenberg said.

As of right now, prosecutors from at least two counties: one in Illinois, where Kelly is from, and one in Georgia — are asking alleged victims to come forward. The State Attorney’s Office In Cook County, Illinois, told CBS News it has “received calls related to this matter.”

R. Kelly and his legal team are ready to put on a fight. As we reported, they are planning to “sue everyone” including the network and his accusers.
