A Radford University student was charged with murder after she stabbed her best friend.
According to Fox News, Luisa Ines Tudela Cutting,21, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder Thursday after police responded to a call about a domestic disturbance. When police arrived at the off-campus apartment complex, Cutting walked out of the apartment covered in blood and confessed to killing Alexis Cannon.
Cannon was found laying on the floor with a butcher knife inside of her mouth. Days before the stabbing, Cutting expressed on her Twitter page that she was frustrated with Cannon since she did not keep up with the bills.
“My roommate forgot to pay the gas bill and they won’t come turn it on until Monday and now there’s a snowstorm on the way we’ll thank god I’ll be drunk all day.”
An Instagram post dated on March 2018 shows Cutting describing Cannon as a “second” mother to her.
“I met this girl two years ago online and somehow we ended up living across from each other for a year, this summer she was equivalent to my mom in Cancun. And unimaginably she still puts up with me and now we’re living together next year.”
Love you more Lu and everyone pray that we don’t kill each other this year.”

A Radford U. spokeswoman said Cutting was currently on interim suspension but did not determine if it was before the deadly slaying. Cutting studied psychology at the school.
A statement was released by Radford U. president Brian Hemphill in light of the tragic killing.
“Alexa … was very involved on campus and was a proud member of several organizations… Alexa had a full life ahead of her, a life poised to make a great impact on those she would have encountered, the career she was pursuing and the communities in which she would have lived.”
Cutting was scheduled for an arraignment on Friday but it was rescheduled. There are no details if she had legal representation.
