Roddy Says Nipsey Was His Only Cosign: ‘He’s The Reason Why I’m Here Today’
While stopping by Real 92.3’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood, LA’s Roddy Ricch talks his new “prolific” face tattoo, and his fast-rising rap career, to which he thanks his city’s hometown hero, Nipsey Hussle, for.
Although Roddy’s received a cosign from Philly rapper Meek Mill, he shares that Nipsey was the only artist on the West to openly support him and give him game. He also lightly mentions, O.T. Genasis.
In addition to noting that he and Nip hadn’t really collaborated up until their newly released “Racks In The Middle,” Roddy says, “He the reason why I am here today, like forreal forreal. Nobody even knew that I was supposed to be All Money In at first, but Nip was working on Victory Lap. So, he was like, ‘I know you about to go, and I don’t want to hold you back from doing what you gotta do.'”
Also, Roddy talks of his new face tattoo, stating, “I got ‘Prolific’ on my face. It’s healing but I just got it tatted. I’m about to re-do it after it heals.”
