Serena Williams Sends A Message Through Her French Open Outfit

Serena Williams is back at the French Open with another great outfit that shut down all the haters!

Last year, Serena Williams took to the tennis court at the French Open in a “Black Panther”-inspired catsuit which caused so much controversy.

The outfit which she wore for health reasons prompted Bernard Giudicelli, French Tennis Federation president to implement a dress code.

“I think that sometimes we’ve gone too far … One must respect the game and the place” he said in his statment.

This year, she walked out in a piece created by  Virgil Abloh which sent a clear message to everyone.

During her first match, Serena she wore a black-and-white two-piece set from Off-White with the words “Mother, Champion, Queen, Goddess” printed in French into the graphic zebra print.

During an interview after her first match win, she said;

“It’s the second time we’ve worked together. And it has words in it in French. It talks about me being a mom and me being a queen, as all women are. A champion. It’s positive reinforcement for me, and I kind of love that.”

Serena paired this look with a pair of fishnet stockings which is similar to her look at the 2019 Australian US Open.

She definitely knows how to make a statement and is killing the game while doing so!
