Social Media Reacts To Ja Rule’s New App & Compares It To Fyre Fest

It seems like Ja Rule‘s having a hard time letting go of the original idea behind he and Billy McFarland‘s Fyre Festival and the app it was meant to promote; this as he launches a new one called Ice Connect (Iconn).

While others attached to the epic-fail of a festival and subsequent documentaries, Ja’s instead flipping the attention to promote his newest, strangely-similar platform that allows its users to book socialites and celebrities. Additionally the site reads, “Ice Connect, known as Iconn is a celebrity entertainment booking & concierge service created by industry veterans. We are working to solve the decades-old problems that entertainers have had with negotiating terms, executing agreements and getting paid.”

Subsequent to Ja’s pinned tweet about his newest venture, one user tweeted, “.@Ruleyork where do I sign up for Iconn Fest? I’m very interested in the cabana options,” as another posted, “Still can’t believe that after conning guests out of thousands and investors out of millions, Ja Rule decided to name is comeback venture ‘ICONN.'”

In addition, another user tweeted, “If you click on this link it takes you to ‘Iconn’ which is exactly what ‘Fyre’ was supposed to be before Ja Rule and a Con Artist held a fake music festival. What a tweet,” and a fourth said, “This is literally the Fyre booking app that the Hulu doc spent a gang of time talking about.”
