Star Wars’ Billy Dee Williams Reveals That He Is Gender Fluid
Legendary actor Billy Dee Williams, best known for his role as Lando Calrissian in the 1980s “Star Wars” movies, has revealed that he identifies as gender fluid.
Billy sat down with Esquire magazine where the 82-year-old got candid about his life and career.
“I never tried to be anything except myself,” Williams said.
“And you see I say ‘himself’ and ‘herself,’ because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine,” he added. “I’m a very soft person. I’m not afraid to show that side of myself.”
Williams also spoke about his role in Brian’s Song where he played Gale Sayers. He added that it wasn’t just a tale of two roommates.
“It was a love story, really,” Williams added. “Between two guys. Without sex. It ended up being a kind of breakthrough in terms of racial division.”
Williams is set to star as Lando once again in final installment, “The Rise of Skywalker.”
