State Seeks Death Penalty In YNW Melly Murder Case
The State of Florida is seeking the death penalty in YNW Melly’s double-murder case.
Melly was charged with two counts of first-degree murder after police reported that the rapper shot two of his friends and staged the crime scene to make it look like a drive-by. He then put his friends bodies in the trunk of his car.

Police believe that the rapper and his friend, Cortlen Henry, shot the victims identified as Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. in the head, torso and back.
The pair then shot up their own car to make it seem like they had been attacked in a drive-by, shooting. They even took the dead victims to ER, where they were pronounced dead.
